I'm never quite sure what this sort of book sets out to achieve. Presumably, one goal is to make money and on that count, I'm sure the authors were successful. But I'm sure there's also some desire to 'big up' the subject themselves and on that count this book is a total disaster. Its narcissistic rubbish, a waste of paper and one of the worst books I have ever read.

As a fan of the Chili Peppers, I was interested to see how Kiedis had managed to pull off such a spectacularly successful career without having any kind of voice (even by his own admission), but all I was left wondering was how he managed to avoid being killed by his band mates....
